That’s right folks, a new year equals change and a time to refresh and we have decided together that it’s time for us to quit blogging.
Now, that doesn’t mean we are closing down our little space on the internet for good. Oh no, we are here for the long haul friends. We ARE however going to be drastically changing the way we do things.
Over the years blogging has become, well, not that fun. There are so many rules these days and the whole keeping up with the Jones’ mentality is SUPER exhausting. Your Instagram needs a theme, all of a sudden followers are more important than friendships and you find yourself apologizing for not posting 5 times a week.
And we are done with all that.
We met the other night to go over our 2016 goals and what we want for MWOA over the course of this next year and what we came up with was we want to focus on our community and having fun. We have some big things coming up that we can’t share just yet, but we think that 2016 is going to be an amazing year as long as we can keep our focus on what is really important.
We feel called to write and we love having an outlet to share, but the way blogging has taken a turn over the years we just can’t keep up. Or honestly, we just don’t want to.
We just want to write. We just want to share. We don’t want to have to join 15 different secret blogger groups to learn all the latest strategies and all the new tricks. We have gotten a little too obsessed with all that over the last year, and it has quickly sucked the fun out of everything. We end up feeling less than, and getting our feelings hurt over silly things and playing the comparison game and it turns ugly quite quickly.
So this year we want to just want to work hard to make this space fun. A place you can come to for a laugh. For some inspiration. Or just a quick read while you are taking a #3…..don’t lie to yourself, you know you do it!
We want to get back to the heart of why we set out to start this space from the beginning. In our very first {awkward} post, we shared our hearts for this blog….
“We created this space for you. For moms like us who are looking for a place to relate, a place to connect, and a place to laugh at ourselves through this journey we call motherhood”.
So that’s our goal for 2016. And we are pretty stoked about it.

YES YES YES!! We have totally taken a hiatus from blogging too… and that very well may turn into some long-term changes for R&R. Applauding you gals and excited to see what this next chapter holds at MWOA! xox

I couldnt agree more, i have only been at it a year, but it is exhausting. I have found myself not even remembering how fun it was when i started and was blissfully ignorant to the inner workings, groups and demands to keep up. As i am reevaluateing the year i think it is no mistake i caught this post as affirmation that back to the roots is the path for joy and success. Best wishes to you and your walk in freedom this year…looking forward to joining you on that journey!!!

Good going, ladies!! Towards the end of the year I hardly blogged at all because I would sit down to and then get paralyzed by silly thoughts and now I regret it. My husband reminded me that for us, it’s more of a creative outlet for documenting our family adventures {or misadventures!}. I look forward to what 2016 brings for you fancy ladies!!

You’ve got this! I will always be your biggest fan and cheerleader! Focus is my word this year and that means focusing on my own growth and community instead of numbers. I am glad to call you ladies my pals.
