This week on MWOA we are going to be talking all things SUMMER! With this week being the last week of school for our kiddos, we are counting down the days for our fun in the sun to begin. There will be lots of summer fun to talk about over the course of the week and we promise you won’t want to miss it.
Today, we are talking Summer Bucket Lists.
I know several moms that make them with their children and this past weekend I saw that my dear friend Angela had whipped up the most amazing bucket list of them all. Angela has always been quite the talented crafty mama and when I saw this picture on Instagram…
I just knew I had to make one of my very own.
Project Life is one of my new faves {thanks to Angela} and I love the concept of creating the list and then using the card for my album to include with the photos from that outing or event.
So I gathered my project life materials and whipped up a list of my own.
Now mine isn’t nearly as cute as Angela’s, nor as extensive, but this summer we will be on a super tight budget with my husband going back to school. Our summer fun will look a little different this year, but I wanted to make sure we got in some of our favorites like the beach, the zoo and a trip to the Blue Bell Factory.
A few other things on our list include….
Also, honest mom moment here, but I think over half of our 20 cards have something to do with food! Picnics, sno-cones, ice cream, s’mores…….
Apparently summer and food go hand in hand. Which is perfect because {shameless plug} Channing will be sharing some of her favorite summer recipes on the blog tomorrow. Your stomach can thank me later, but you are going to want to check it out.
Until then, are there any other Project Life fans out there? Have you and your family made a summer bucket list of your own? What are some of the top things on your list?
Food??? Or is that just us?
Also, check out my awesome friend Angela, and all the amazingness she and her blog have to offer.
Angela is a heart transplant survivor two times over and has some of the most amazing stories. Plus her pictures and recipes will leave you wanting to lick your monitor. I’m just sayin’.

Love these! It’s hard to make a summer bucket list with a 15 month old who isn’t yet walking, but we sure can come up with some fun things. 🙂 I think one of my biggest bucket list items for us though is to go to the beach. I grew up in a beach town, and have yet to have Charlotte feel the sand between her toes! What am I waiting for?! And also a bucket list item for mama is to get to know how to use my camera. Usually I let the hubs handle the DSLR, but I really would love how to use it. Happy Summer!
