Man, where has the time gone? How is it possible that I have a 144 month old? What?? You don't still count in months the age of your now 12 year old? Yeah me neither. BUT seeing as how tomorrow my first baby will be TWELVE, I thought it called for something extra special. And because I never got to do these little updates when she was a baby, you will have to just humor me for the day. A few things about my "baby" that I want to remember...... Weight: A 144 month old never tells.... Length: About shoulder high to her mama. Won't be long until she towers over me. Hair: Short and sassy just like ... READ MORE >>
Top 5 Pumpkin Recipes for Fall
Happy Friday friends! Earlier this week it actually got in the 70s and all of Houston rejoiced and immediately went into an "It's Fall" celebration. We don't get much of a "fall" around here so needless to say we celebrate with food, lots of scarves and home decor. DIY Lavender Deodorant
Today friends I invite you into the hippie side of my life! About a year ago Eden, my oldest, reached that point in life that all moms dread. She started actually growing up! We started to have talks about personal hygiene and how to take responsibility for it ourselves and so on and so forth. I dread these kind of talks! I do not dread them because they make me uncomfortable but because it means that my baby is no longer a baby. (Please give me a moment while I wipe away my tears.) Needless to say with these changes came products, products that I was very hesitant to put on my 9 year old. After trying a few over the counter ... READ MORE >>
Easy Back To School SuperHero Lunch
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MARVELSnackBar #CollectiveBias The twins have been in school for about 2 full weeks now. Which means two full weeks of school lunches, which means they are already bored with my "usual". There is something about their age that makes meal times extra difficult. Add a class full of friends and chairs they can actually get out of on their own and it is all that more challenging. It was their short attention spans that inspired me to think outside the lunchbox and come up with some new menus that my little food critics ... READ MORE >>
Easy Baked Pumpkin Donuts
Let me guess, I had you at Donut. Or maybe Pumpkin? Or the fact that I claimed they are easy? Easy is kind of an understatement really. These Easy Baked Pumpkin Donuts are dummy proof and delicious. My favorite kind of recipe. To start you need to gather your ingredients.....all 3 of them. Then mix them together..... The batter will be a bit sticky but that is ok. Scoop your pumpkin gooeyness into a large ziplock bag and cut the tip off. Pipe the batter into your donut pan and fill each hole about halfway. Then pop them into a 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. You then have two options. You can devour ... READ MORE >>
