Can you imagine if your nurse handed you an owners manual to your new bundle of joy?? She'd walk in right before you're being wheeled out of that stuffy hospital room, a glowing grin across her face. She hands you what could very well be a holy grail and she says "Heres everything you'll ever need to know! Have fun!". And it would be just that. Fun. Wouldn't it? Parenting is about owning every trial and error.. but what if trial and error wasn't needed? This is all figuratively speaking of course. I've been wracking my brain lately for some strange thoughts when it comes to this topic.. and quite ... READ MORE >>
Blackberry Lime Margarita {with Blackberry Infused Tequila}
Have you ever noticed that parenting is like one giant game of "Never Have I Ever"? "Never have I ever been changing my babies diaper and wasn't fast enough and they peed into their mouths" "Never have I ever sprayed my kids soccer jersey with febreeze and tossed it into the dryer for 2 minutes to call it clean" "Never have I ever pulled an all nighter because I forgot to look into my child's folder over the weekend only to discover the night before that they are student of the week" If that was a real game, this mama would be feeling pretty tipsy right about now. To Make Time Stand Still
To make time stand still these days I would do almost anything. This morning I wake up and my baby is 4. Four years old. They say that the days are long but the years are short and unfortunately, this could not be more true. I feel like it was just yesterday that this little one was born. From the beginning she did life HER own way. Her entrance into the world is a perfect picture of who she is growing to be. Full of excitement and keeping us on our toes! She is Punky Brewster meets Annie. She is headstrong and mischievous with a head full of curls. She is strong willed yet gentle, feisty yet oh so sweet. She is ... READ MORE >>
Best Summer Chopped Salad
Summer is a comin'! I am at that time of the year where I am ready for summer. I am ready to sleep in, spend the days with my girls and enjoy some light summer recipes by a pool somewhere. I recently went out with some girl friends and had the perfect salad that I have been obsessing over since. What was so amazing about this salad? It's a cobb salad with just the good stuff. You know the good stuff, the toppings that you pick around for that make that perfect bite. Considering that I do not want to go broke from having to eat out everyday I decided to make my own version. This salad is now a weekly must have and perfect for summer. It ... READ MORE >>
