photo by Christa Rene Photography You know those articles that catch your eye with a title like "10 Things I Said Would Never Do As A Parent (and then I had kids)"? Well, this post is going to be something like that - except when I originally wrote this letter to my friend, I did have a baby, just a teeny tiny one who didn't have opinions or emotions beyond "I'm hungry". But I certainly wasn't a toddler mom and my friend was deep, so deep, in the trenches parenting her toddler - and she needed to hear that she was doing OK handling her current stage of motherhood. At the time, I didn't understand what it was like to parent at spirited ... READ MORE >>
How To Survive With A Spouse In School
For the last two years, my husband has been in graduate school to become a Physician Assistant (PA). It has hands down been the most challenging 2 years of our marriage and that is factoring in the beginning of our marriage when he was in nursing school and we had a baby, and more difficult than surviving our first year with twins. You want them to embrace their natural beauty while also being able to enhance their features. I debated back and forth when I would allow my daughter to wear makeup, and in the end we decided that when she was 12 and in Jr. High we would allow her to start ... READ MORE >>
To Minivan or Not to Minivan
*Thanks to Toyota for allowing us to test drive the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser. This was such a fun experience. Although this is a sponsored post, all thoughts and opinions are my own!** Friends, I have a confession to make. It's not something that I am proud of but if I don't put it out there, someone will. My name is Channing and I have been cheating on my... minivan. I know, I know, how could I do such a thing? Being the owner of a minivan does not just simply mean that you drive a minivan but it is a lifestyle. It is part of who you are. Hello, the club is so exclusive that there are actual shirts made for those of us who are ... READ MORE >>
