I have a little story for you. A few weeks ago, I ordered a calendar for my desk. A tiny little card calendar with our 2016 family photos on them. The package came, I opened it up, the calendar is beautiful, so I immediately went to put it on my desk. Except I came into my office, and saw my desk looking like this... "Ugh!" I thought. "How did the holidays let me get to this point?!" Because while my house is nowhere near perfect, ever, I can usually find a surface to put a calendar on. Does this ever happen to you around this time of year? You get so caught up in gift giving, wrapping, Elf on the Shelfing, parties, cookie exchanges, ... READ MORE >>
Our Christmas Card with Tiny Prints 2016
Merry Christmas, Friends! I cannot believe that we are just 2 days away from celebrating my favorite day all year! Family, lights, sweet treats and most of all celebrating Jesus' birth! One of our favorite traditions every year is creating our Christmas card. But this year it seemed like we ran into every road block around trying to get our card finished and sent out. First, the picture I wanted to use of the girls didn't quite work out as planned. And then, our cards got lost. Like nowhere to be found lost in the mail with no idea in the world of where they could be. Long story short we finally received our cards this week and they were ... READ MORE >>

But how do you juggle capturing all of the activities, all of the smiles, all of the emotions, and all of the details during the holidays? Today I'm counting down my top five holiday photo priorities, and how I create a ... READ MORE >>
Mini Cheese and Sausage Cups
You guys, I am hosting Christmas this year. What in the world was I thinking? Now don't get me wrong, I am super pumped to have everyone over but....how in the world do you make a turkey? I stressed about this tiny major detail all week and then resigned to ordering a turkey. Friends, why do more people not do this? We are talking easy, nearly fail proof delicious turkey and NOT spending one million hours waiting for the turkey to thaw. I don't care what kind of street cred I lose from not making the turkey myself. I ordered that baby and will be ready and excited to pick her up on December 24th. My next dilemma...appetizers! Every ... READ MORE >>
Favorite Toddler Christmas Apps: Pt. 2
2 years ago here on the ol' blog, I shared my favorite Toddler Christmas Apps and it was quite the hit. This year, as we prepare for our Christmas travels and I have two very active four year olds to entertain on a 9 hour car trip and then two days later another 4 and a half hour car trip I want to be loaded up on all the latest and greatest apps. Our twins use the iPads to play on quite often and during December I like to switch out several of our usual games for some festive ones. They still play with a lot of the ones on the old list, but this year I thought our list could use some updating. Here are 5 new apps ... READ MORE >>
