We have made it very clear around here that we know pretty much next to nothing (hello, our tag line). And after the weekend I lived last week I am confident that I know even less than I originally thought. This past weekend we had the awesome and amazing pleasure of attending 2 weddings where some people who mean more to us than they know got married. The weddings were beautiful and it was an honor to be apart of them. Where this whole story gets tricky is that we did not just attend each wedding but were IN both of them. Our girls were in both and my husband and I in 1. And how it went, lets just say this weekend may have aged me a ... READ MORE >>
You Know You’re A Twin Mom When…
I love being a twin mom, I really do. Sometimes the questions though....they really crack me up. I know people mean well, and we always have a laugh about it. But sometimes I just am taken a back at what people will ask a total stranger. When we were on our weekend getaway to the Woodlands, Channing got to see first hand all the attention the boys bring, and commented how they were their own little attraction. And sometimes they kind of are. So here is my round up of random questions and comments I get regularly as a twin mom. "Are they twins" No, they are triplets but we leave the ugly one at home. *Many thanks to Huggies for Sponsoring this post, and helping us Moms save a little time. As we have said a million times before we have 7 kids between us, although it feels like 19 sometimes it really is only 7. When days are filled with kids running around everywhere, a million places for everyone to be, feeding little mouths 1 million times a day and keeping everyone alive we Moms are insanely busy. But, regardless of how busy we are our laundry list (pun ... READ MORE >>
The Everyday Princess
One thing Channing and I know a good bit about, is girls. Between the two of us, we have 5 girls and while the older girls have out grown the princess girly stage, our young ones are still full on Disney Princess obsessed. Our two middle girls are our ultimate girly girls and we often trade stories about the battles we have trying to peel our precious princesses out of their favorite gowns and into "normal" clothes. I can't even count the trips to Target or Sam's where Megan has been in full on Princess costume. Some days I pick my battles, and some days I just let her be. I mean who doesn't want to go shopping with Princess ... READ MORE >>
The Truth After the Bump
The first time I was pregnant I loved my growing bump. I loved it not because I had an easy pregnancy (I didn't, at all) but because for the first time in my post adolescent life that I was ok with my stomach. My stomach has always been my "problem area" and one that I was always self conscious about until that baby bump started to appear. Little did I know that once that bump was gone there was a hidden truth behind it. One that mothers before me didn't speak of , what REALLY happens after the baby is out.... Let me just start with debunking one very important topic. This will most likely, like 99% not be your ... READ MORE >>
