My Everly,
How is it that in one week I will walk you up to the big doors of your elementary school and take you to Kindergarten? Kindergarten! Girl, you have finally reached the big time and I am so excited for you!
Most of the summer you have protested starting school informing us that you would just “sit on the couch and wait for us all to get home” but I think you are finally starting to come around. I know the idea of Kindergarten is a scary one but you are are going to be great and guess what…you are ready!
You are ready and you’ve got this.
Before the big day gets here I have written a few things I want you to remember.
You are strong, you are beautiful, you are unique and you are kind. These are things I love about you! Don’t allow yourself to change for anyone. Don’t change for your friends, your teachers, me, daddy or anyone else.
Continue to love what interests you and know that being smart is beautiful.
Some days may be harder than others but you will be ok.
You will always be ok.
Don’t be afraid to make new friends. Walk up and say hello. You never know if in that moment you will be meeting the greatest friend you will ever know.
Be kind to others even when they are not kind to you.
And no matter what, always have fun!
Remember that I am always here. I am cheering you on and praying for you. I am always in your corner and love you so much my heart could literally burst.
I believe in you and know that God created you for big and wonderful things.
Kindergarten is just the beginning sweet girl.
We can do this….
Mom
