We are already into December and have been sweating our patooties off but we finally, finally got to experience some cold weather around our parts! We live in Houston, the land of weather with multiple personalities.
I am telling you, we can go from shorts and flip flops to being snow bunnies within minutes! Nothing makes you feel adequate as a mother like sending your kids to school on shorts and then the weather dropping like 20 degrees by the time you pick them up and your little ones nearly freezing to death. This may or may not have happened to me someone I know..#momfail.
Needless to say we ended our day like this and now I have the cutest little snow bunny ever!
In the midst of trying to keep my family dressed properly I am also trying not to forget anyone on our ever growing list of people we love to give gifts to this Christmas season.
I am not sure about you but it seems like every year I make a giant list but always seem to forget someone. This year I decided to be proactive and made these super yummy Hot Chocolates on a Stick to have on hand!
These little gems are perfect for teacher gifts, your sweet neighbor across the street or even stocking stuffers.
And you want to know the best part? They literally only took me 30 min to make. Yep you read that right, 30 min and 24 of these cuties were ready to go!
Here is what you need to make your own!
Ingredients:
Melting Chocolate- I used Ghirardelli chocolate and it worked perfect!
Vegetable Oil
Sprinkles
Marshmallows
Supplies:
Silicone Ice Cube Tray
Wooden Lollipop Sticks
Clear Candy Bags
Ribbon
Directions:
Before you get started with the chocolate, put a large marshmallow on each lollipop stick leaving room to insert the bottom of the stick into the chocolate. Melt chocolate according to package. Make sure that your chocolate is easily pour-able and smooth. Fill each ice tray cube with chocolate and put sprinkles on top. Next, quickly insert the lollipop stick with the marshmallow on top. Repeat with each chocolate and let sit until harden. Once hardened gently push the chocolate out of the silicone tray. Wrap each Hot Chocolate on a Stick in a clear bag and tie with a bow! Voila, you are ready to go!
Aren’t these just the cutest little things you have ever seen? Even better, they are delicious too! Add a cute mug and a sweet card and you have yourself the perfect gift for pretty much anyone!
Now that I have been so on top of this lets hope I can actually get the rest of my shopping done…fingers crossed, friends, fingers crossed!
So tell us, what are some of your favorite go to gifts? We welcome any easy ideas that add minimal stress to our already well managed crazy lives!
