If you’re anything like me, you spend the Dog Days of Summer wondering what in the world you’re going to do with all of the fruit you just had to have from the Farmer’s Market. I get it, there is nothing like a warm Saturday morning to incite a produce buying frenzy. Been there, done that.
And then you get home, unload the 4 pounds of fresh peaches that seemed reasonable in the Farmer’s Market buy-a-thon and wonder how you’ll ever convince your family to eat it all before it begins to wither away. Luckily for you, I’ve got you (well, as long as you are a grown up) covered.
Behold, Bourbon Peach Tea.
Not only is this the easiest recipe of all time, it can be made to serve a crowd or just a mama after a particularly tough day in the Toddler Trenches.
The recipe is a 3-2-1 set up and you really can’t mess it up. Slice all of the peaches you have around and toss them in – go ahead and use it all up, baby!
Bourbon Peach Tea
Ingredients
3 cups Diet Sweet Tea (I used pre-made from the grocery store!)
2 cups peach juice (check the international aisle)
1 cup Bourbon (we like Blanton’s but any brand will do!)
4 ripe peaches, sliced
Method
Dump all of the ingredients in a pitcher and give it a stir.
Serve over ice with sliced peaches for garnish
Tip: the diet sweet tea keeps the drink from being too sweet – it’s a personal choice, so feel free to grab any sweet tea of your choosing.
Enjoy!
