Kelly Clarkson once sang, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
I can only wonder if at the time she wrote the song, she was dating someone in PA school.
For two and a half years I have watched you sacrifice and work yourself silly.
Long days, and long nights. You balanced studying with family responsibilities and a full time job. And not just a normal 9-5 job but a super demanding 12 hour high intensity job saving lives in one of the top children’s hospitals in the country.
Not a lot of people can say they have done what you have done. In fact, it was said that you couldn’t work at all and go to school at the same time. But you put your family first, and you made it happen.
And today you will take your last test of PA school, and you will give your final presentation, and come this afternoon PA school will be over. Graduation may still be two weeks away, but today we will celebrate all the hours and hard work over the last 2.5 years coming to an end.
And OH MY GOSH am I proud of you.
So unbeliveably proud.
I have tried and tried to put into words the level of love and respect and appreciation I have for you, but I find that words fail me.
Of all the many things that I love about you, I think the fact that you are a dreamer will always rank high on my list. You dream big. It’s one of the reasons I fell in love with you in the first place. But more than just dreaming big, you turn your dreams into your reality. You set goals for yourself and you make them happen. You bust your butt and give it everything you’ve got and I am always just in awe of your drive and determination. I get super emotional when I think of the amazing example you are setting for our children. You are teaching them that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself and work hard.
Today I celebrate you and all your amazing accomplishments. This is just the beginning for you and I know the best is yet to come.
Thank you for loving our family. Thank you for dreaming big and showing our children what hard work and determination can do. I love you with everything that I am.
We are a pretty great team and I will forever be your biggest fan.

Thank you my love! However I would not have been able to do it without you and your support. You are my hero and I can’t put into words how much I appreciate everything you do for our family!
