There are about a zillion reasons on why I love Christmas as much as I do, but one of the reasons I love this time of year is CHRISTMAS CARDS!!
I love checking my mailbox each day and finding cards from friends and family from all over. Weather it be people we talk do daily, or friends and family we don’t get to see as often, I love getting the cards and displaying them in our home and seeing all the people I love in that tiny 5×7 form.
I know as mamas, Christmas cards can be a bit of a thorn in our sides. Trying to get our kids and husbands to pose in a photo that somewhat makes it look like we all love each other? Errrr, like each other? Tolerate each other?! You know what I mean, come picture day everyone is on edge. Nobody likes their clothes, or their hair or their brother and so chaos ensues.
But come hell and high water you take the photos and 9 times out of 10 you get a keeper! Or you photoshop the neighbor kids face on your sons face and call it a day, but that can be our little secret.
This year I had planned to have our Christmas card be a kid only picture. With my husband’s new schedule I just thought it would be easy. So after we got their pictures back from our sweet photographer, I started to get to work on Tiny Prints to design our card.
We have always used Tiny Prints for our Christmas Cards, and I quickly had about 56 card designs saved to my favorites. #sorrynotsorry
Tiny Prints has the best selection of cards hands down and the way you can customize each card and tailor it to fit your families needs and preferences is my absolute favorite.
And once you select your card, you can take it a step further and order fancy personalized stamps, address labels, ornaments….the possibilities are endless.
This year once I set out to make our card, I came across the Merry Year card and I knew right away our 2016 Christmas card was going to go in a different direction than I had planned. 2016 has been too full of well, LIFE to sum it up in just one photo.
I loved the option of including photos and little snippets and updates on what we have all been up to in 2016.
I was able to incorporate all my favorite shots the photographer got of the kids, and then some other family favorites from over the last several months.
I am still busy at work addressing our cards and getting them out to family and friends, so I am not going to completely spoil the surprise, but I will post a couple of sneak peaks on Instagram if you follow us over there (@momswoa).
What theme did you choose for your family card this year? Was your family photoshoot as crazy as mine? Why can’t 4 year olds manage to look at the camera AND smile? Why do family photos have to be so stressful?
Also, one last thing mom to mom, Tiny Prints is having an awesome sale right now so make sure you check it out and get some amazing Christmas Cards of your very own.
